He spent several years engaged in politics in Washington, DC before joining the staff full-time at GBC in 2017. Doug and his wife Robin have been members at Grace since 2013, and have five young adult children. He has been most influenced by the writings of John MacArthur and John Piper. In his free time, Doug is a fan of NASCAR, soccer, the Baltimore Orioles, and the Los Angeles Rams.
Stuart grew up in a Christian home and was exposed to the Gospel at a young age, but at that point, Jesus and his Gospel were just "assets" to believe in, in order to fly under the radar. It wasn't until college that God, through a faithful group of guys, granted gifts of faith and repentance to Stuart. It was at this time that he turned from his sins and trusted in Jesus' sinless life, substitutionary death, and glorious resurrection for the forgiveness of his sins. Stuart is married to his wife Lauren and they have four children: Payton Anne, Owen, Kaitlyn, and Nathan. He is attending Reformed Theological Seminary where he is pursuing a Masters of Divinity. Stuart also loves football and roots for the Tennessee Volunteers and the Washington Redskins.
