Volunteer

Serving One Another

We have an array of opportunities to serve our people as well as our local community. We are always looking for more volunteers who are committed to serving on a regular basis using the gifts and talents the Lord has given them. If you would like to serve, we have a place for you!

Below are listed the Sunday Morning Serving Teams with a current need for volunteers. Training is provided if it's necessary; more important is a desire to be used effectively.

“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace…whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ.”
– 1 Peter 4:10-11

Serving Teams

Hospitality | Greeters

The Sunday Morning Hospitality team is made up of Greeters, Ushers, and those who serve behind the Welcome Desk. We are looking for friendly and inviting people to serve on this team. Although very little training is involved, this is a massively important team. Greeters and Ushers strive to welcome people with a friendly word, a warm smile, and extend hand of fellowship. Those serving at the Welcome Desk provide one last point of contact after the services to our guests. Our prayer is that each person joining us will experience our care of hospitality.

Greeters serve at least one service a month, asked to arrive 20 minutes prior to the service, but serve only until 15 minutes into the service.

Greeter Duties

~ Greet people (both door & foyer greeters)
~ Distribute Sermon Notes and other handouts as needed (foyer greeters)
~ Ensure those who are new receive a Guest Bag (both greeters)
~ Direct people in the “right” direction (e.g., bathrooms, mother’s room, etc.) (both greeters)
~ If needed, assist the Ushers
