Along with Sunday morning services, Home Groups form the foundation for performing our mission.
God has graciously not left us to try and figure out life on our own. As odd as it may seem to us, it pleases the Father to use other sinners, saved by grace alone, to aid us to live in ways pleasing to Him. We know this to be true in light of the many "one another" commands in the New Testament. As we share life with other believers, God the Father gives each of us grace to come alongside others to encourage, exhort, instruct, teach, bear one another's burdens, love one another, and so much more. It's because of God's desire for His people to live interdependently that GBC has decided to use Home Groups as the primary way we seek to obey and live in the good of these commands.
Home Groups primarily meet in homes, of about 5-6 households, that include families with and without kids, "empty nest" adults, and singles. Each group is different, but they all meet regularly for fellowship, focused time of hearing from God in His word, encouragement, grace-based accountability, and prayer (there always seems to be food, too.).
Feel free to explore the groups below and to contact a leader directly. If you have any problems or questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Additionally, if you would be willing and able to be a host for a group, please contact Pastor Stuart.
